Jamo is founded by Preben Jacobsen a talented cabinet maker & Julius Mortensen, his brother-in-law in 1968. Using the first two letters of their surnames, Jamo is born.

Just 10 years later in 1978 over one million speakers rolled off the Glyngøre state of the art assembly line. In 1994 Jamo becomes the leading loudspeaker manufacturer in Europe and the first EMEA company to produce a THX certified speaker.

Till this day, Jamo stands as a true juggernaut in the Audio industry, setting trends and making exceptional audio available to the masses.
