The Rega RP6 combines Rega’s lightweight construction approach with carefully engineered components designed for accurate and consistent vinyl playback. Its rigid, low-mass plinth is supported by Rega’s double-brace construction, helping minimise unwanted vibration and energy transfer.
At the heart of the RP6 is a hand-assembled RB303 precision tonearm, paired with a high-specification 24V low-noise synchronous motor. The motor is individually tuned to its anti-vibration circuit and controlled by Rega’s external TT-PSU power supply, which provides electronic speed selection between 33 and 45 rpm.
The RP6 uses a dual-layer 16 mm float-glass platter, with the additional lower glass ring increasing the platter's flywheel effect. This helps improve rotational stability and speed consistency. A precision main bearing and aluminium sub-platter further contribute to the turntable's rigid and accurate operation.
Designed with a focus on the components that matter most to vinyl playback, the RP6 offers a straightforward, high-quality analogue turntable platform that can be paired with a suitable moving-magnet or moving-coil cartridge.
