Iconic design

Building upon a rich legacy which began when we launched the original Concorde, the Concorde Music holds a storied history as one of the most famous cartridges in the world of audio.

Originally developed as a solution to the challenge of easy mounting on a tonearm without screws or wires, the Concorde's unique design earned the Danish Industrial Design Award and became an icon in
the audio industry.

Stylus

The Concorde Music Blue, featuring a Nude Elliptical stylus on an Aluminum cantilever, offers an upgrade from the Concorde Music Red. Nude diamonds, weighing less than their tipped counterparts, enhance responsiveness, detail, and reduce distortion.

Enjoy seamless upgrades throughout the series, from the Concorde Music Blue to the Concorde Music Black LVB 250, simply by replacing the stylus.

Rubber suspension

A crucially important and vital part of a phono cartridge overall performance is the stylus rubber suspension. Exclusive Ortofon rubber compounds are used for the stylus suspensions in the Concorde Music Blue, carefully produced at the inhouse rubber production, and developed by the research and engineering team at Ortofon for brilliant performance.

• Channel Balance at 1 kHz:
  1.5 dB
  Represents the difference in output between the left and right channels at 1 kHz. A value of 1.5 dB indicates a relatively good balance.

• Output Voltage at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec:
  6 mV
  The voltage produced by the cartridge when tracking at 1 kHz and a velocity of 5 cm/sec. A higher output voltage can be advantageous for better signal-to-noise ratio.

• Channel Separation at 1 kHz:
  25 dB
  Indicates the level of separation between the left and right channels at 1 kHz, with 25 dB showing a strong separation and clear stereo imaging.

• Channel Separation at 15 kHz:
  15 dB
  This value shows the channel separation at a higher frequency (15 kHz), which affects the clarity and spatial characteristics of the high frequencies.

• Frequency Response (20 Hz - 20 kHz):
  +2 / -1 dB
  Describes the accuracy of the cartridge's frequency response within the audible range, indicating minimal deviation from the flat response.

• Tracking Ability at 315 Hz at Recommended Tracking Force:
  80 µm
  The ability of the cartridge to track a record's grooves at 315 Hz under the recommended tracking force. A higher value reflects better tracking capability.

• Compliance, Dynamic, Lateral:
  15 µm/mN
  Measures the flexibility of the stylus assembly in response to lateral (side-to-side) forces, influencing how well it follows the groove modulations.

• Stylus Type:
  Nude Elliptical Diamond on Aluminium Cantilever
  A nude elliptical diamond stylus offers precise tracking and high-frequency detail, mounted on an aluminium cantilever for rigidity.

• Stylus Tip Radius:

  The radius of the stylus tip, which affects how it contacts the groove walls and impacts sound quality.
