Description

Developed by music lovers, for music lovers, the Concorde Music HiFi cartridges blend premium performance with an iconic design. Concorde Music, not just a cartridge, but a dedication to the profound impact music has on our lives, turning every listening session into a captivating journey.

Installing a Concorde Music cartridge on a turntable is easy and straightforward, no tools required making it hassle free and convenient.

Iconic design

Building upon a rich legacy which began when we launched the original Concorde, the Concorde Music holds a storied history as one of the most famous cartridges in the world of audio.

Originally developed as a solution to the challenge of easy mounting on a tonearm without screws or wires, the Concorde's unique design earned the Danish Industrial Design Award and became an icon in
the audio industry.

Stylus

The Concorde Music Red features an Elliptical diamond polished to the highest standards of the industry, mounted on a premium aluminum cantilever. This ensures the best possible transmission of the vinyl record groove modulations picked up by the diamond.

Rubber suspension

The Concorde Music Red utilizes an exclusive Ortofon rubber compound for its stylus suspension. Developed and produced in our unique in-house rubber production, this suspension is a crucial and vital component contributing to the overall performance of the phono cartridge.

Specification

  • Channel Balance at 1 kHz:
    1.5 dB
This indicates how balanced the left and right channels are when reproducing a 1 kHz tone. A smaller difference between channels means better stereo imaging.

  • Output Voltage at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec:
    6 mV
This is the voltage output generated by the cartridge when the stylus moves at 5 cm per second at 1 kHz. A higher output voltage can result in better signal-to-noise ratios.

  • Channel Separation at 1 kHz:
    22 dB
This measures how well the cartridge can separate the left and right audio channels. A higher value indicates better stereo separation.

  • Channel Separation at 15 kHz:
    15 dB
Similar to the 1 kHz channel separation, but measured at 15 kHz, indicating performance at higher frequencies.

  • Frequency Response (20 Hz - 20 kHz):
    +3 / -1 dB
This indicates the range of frequencies the cartridge can reproduce and how flat the response is across this range. The smaller the deviation, the more accurate the reproduction.

  • Tracking Ability at 315 Hz at Recommended Tracking Force:
    80 µm
This measures the cartridge's ability to track the grooves in a record at a specific frequency and tracking force. Higher values suggest better tracking performance.

  • Compliance, Dynamic, Lateral:
    15 µm/mN
This is a measure of the stylus’s compliance or how easily it responds to the groove’s modulations. It affects tracking ability and resonance characteristics.

  • Stylus Type:
    Elliptical diamond on Aluminium cantilever
This describes the shape of the stylus and the material of the cantilever. An elliptical stylus typically offers better high-frequency response and tracking compared to a spherical stylus.

  • Stylus Tip Radius:
    r/R 8/18 µm
